2025-2026 Registration Financial Policy


USA Swimming Membership Fee

Every swimmer must be a registered member of USA Swimming. No swimmer may work out or compete unless their USA Swimming registration is current. The only exception to this policy is for swimmers participating in an evaluation session.

USA Swimming registration is good for 1 year (January 1-December 31). New swimmers registering with USA Swimming between September 1st and December 31st will be covered for the remainder of the calendar year and following calendar year.

All USA Swimming Membership fees will be collected directly by USA Swimming. After completing the team registration process, you will be sent an unique code that you will use to register on the USA Swimming website.



Annual Team Registration Fees

There is an annual team registration fee of $50 for each swimmer that registers for Friends Select Aquatics (FSA). This fee will be used to purchase gear for the coaches, help with coaches travel and meets, and other miscellaneous charges that the team incurs. This fee will only be assessed one time during the 2025-2026 season and will be charged at the time of registration.


Team Commitment

Team Commitment will now be for the entire 19 week session. This is to help provide stability not only for the program, but for our student athletes as well. FSA carries a waitlist and acceptance into the FSA program means a team roster spot is not offered to another athlete. The FSA staff appreciates the significance of this and trusts our families do too.


Session Refunds

Our Session Refund Policy is below. Please feel free to visit swimfsa.org/financialpolicy to review this as well.

  • Before the end of the second week of the season 75% refund
  • Before the end of the fourth week of the season 50% refund
  • No refunds available after fourth week of the season
  • Credits toward future seasons are available for extended medical leave of absence
  • All other refunds will be considered on a case by case basis. Please reach out to aquatics@friends-select.org with any questions

Swim Meet Financial Policy


  • FSA Meet Financial policy has 2 key factors
  • Athletes will be charged for all events not scratched or changed before the "Final Entries" Date. Friends Select Aquatics will not assume the costs for late changes or decommitting after the "Final Entries" Date
  • FSA will make a good faith attempt to make requested changes without a Fee charge whenever possible
  • FSA is penalized and charged in certain situations when athletes Choose not to swim in Finals. It is important that athletes are Familiar with the FSA Scratch Policy and adhere to it to prevent unnecessary finds being levied on FSA and thereby the Family.


Swim Meet Fees

Meet entry fees vary depending on the host club. Generally fees are $10 per event. Occasionally there is a surcharge for the pool usage well. FSA will be charging a $1.00 surcharge per swimmer per event to cover credit card processing, administrative costs and coaches travel expenses. For example, if your swimmer is signed up for 8 races, and the sponsoring club is charging $10 per event, then the total meet fees for the swimmer would be $88.00 (8 Events x $11.00 per Event).
